Our story began back in 1832 when a small group of brave families stepped out in faith and planted the seed in Newtown Township. Back then, ordinary people weren’t content with the status quo—they chose to follow Jesus wholeheartedly, even when it meant taking risks and making sacrifices. From rebuilding after the devastating fire of 1920 to a time when our numbers swelled to over 500 members by 1978, every challenge and triumph has been a testimony to God’s transforming power in our lives.

There came a time when things just weren’t working—the weight of decline hit hard, and we found ourselves at a crossroads in 2013. In those raw, honest moments of prayer and reflection, our hearts were stirred to change. Then, on April 26, 2015, after 184 years of ministry, we decided to let go of the old and step boldly into a new season. This wasn’t about convenience—it was about embracing the costly grace of Jesus, committing to follow Him with everything we have, even when it’s hard.

Teaming up with the Acts 29 Network brought a fresh burst of energy and challenged us to be radical in our discipleship. It wasn’t just about an affiliation—it was a call to be bold, to push past comfort, and to live out a vibrant, transformative faith. With the global family of church planters behind us, we’ve learned to follow Jesus in a way that leaves nothing on the table.
